Our exclusive series of updates on the construction of Falcon’s Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa continues below, with a look at the last two weeks and what lies ahead. This week’s update includes a review of the news this week that Timbuktu will be transformed into Pantopia, and a look at the construction site as crews prepare to install the second tower section.
As detailed in our story from this past Friday, the park has announced that the entire area surrounding Falcon’s Fury will get a makeover. Timbuktu will get a new name, Pantopia, which will be a crossroads of the world with an animal infused design. The proposed artwork shows new landscaping, decor, a re-themed gift shop, and more.
BGTFans was there when the first tower section was installed last Monday, and as of yesterday, the second section is on site and ready to be raised into place. The windy weather has put a hold on any major work the last few days. If the weather holds out, the new section could be installed as early as Friday morning.
Also of note is the addition of a number of wooden poles that can now be seen standing vertically around the east side of the construction site.
