Today marks a major milestone at Busch Gardens Tampa – the first full height test drop on Falcon’s Fury, the park’s newest attraction. The ride vehicle reached maximum height after several test drops at increasing heights, beginning from about 100 feet.

Check out the video below of all seven drop tests conducted this afternoon:

The seats did not tilt during today’s testing, but surely will as work continues to prepare the ride for its scheduled opening on May 1st, 2014.

Wow, that looked pretty lame !

What about it do you find lame?

Keep in mind, we’re still in testing. Adjustments have to be made, and it’s not uncommon for braking systems to be tweaked (or upper brake fins to be removed).
