Check out the recent progress being made at Busch Gardens Tampa on Falcon’s Fury, the new drop tower ride scheduled to officially open to the public on May 1, 2014. In this update, we’ll take a look at the assembled ride vehicle with the seats installed, and the first movement of the ride!
In our last update, we showed you the progress on the ride vehicle assembly. As of this week, the seats and the rest of the ride vehicle components have been installed. Check out the entire assembly, including shots from when it was raised today for work at the base:
Shot this past weekend, below are close-up images showing various parts of the ride vehicle, including the seats before final assembly:
The ride vehicle was raised about 20 feet off the ground today so crews could work on the hydraulics and electrical components around the base of the tower. In a video you’ll only see from BGTFans, check out what it looked like in the air, and see the first “drop” of about 10 feet as the assembly was lowered back to the ground:
To end this update, two pictures looking up at tower that will soon be hosting thousands of thrill seekers everyday:
A special thanks to photographer Matt Hopkins for the use of several of his images.
