Editor’s Note: Crews at Busch Gardens Tampa have been busy! The last large tower section has just been installed! Check out our newest update when you’re done reading this one.
A new tower section greeted guests when they visited Busch Gardens Tampa on Thursday. The seventh section raises the tower to heights above SheiKra, making it the tallest structure in the park, besides the temporary crane putting the ride together.
As of this morning, collar pieces and other items were being lifted into place and installed. Along with the fact the last tower section has left the auxiliary lot and is inside the park in an employee lot, we could see the final large tower section installed as early as tomorrow morning. After that, just the topper and related equipment would need to be installed to bring Falcon’s Fury to its final height of 335 feet.
Crews were busy both in the air and on the ground around the Falcon’s Fury site today. Queue work continues, and progress can be seen in a number of columns rising over the construction walls.
